If you’re like me, you’ve spent over 200 hours of your life watching random, seemingly useless YouTube videos in order to ignore social obligations and healthy habits. My track record is close to winning Guinness World Record.
Therefore, as a YouTube connoisseur with a great knowledge of good content, I would like to share the content I cozy up to almost every day.
Quite often, the content I gravitate towards are goofy, realistic, and smart women with a unique skills and hella good ways to make me jealous of them. They’re all just so great.
Here are five funny gals I watch religiously on the Tube.
Even though I only just discovered Micarah, I feel like I know her. Her charm, her elegance, and her style are noteworthy.
But really, if you watch her videos, she’s not just a pretty face. She’s a talented seamstress, she’s dedicated (she’s obsessed enough with Barbie to turn herself into Barbie), she’s not afraid to pose in ridiculous outfits in public, and she has ducks. She’s all round amazing.
Micarah’s channel consists of a range of sewing challenges, such as making Cinderella’s ball gown, fancy dresses from chicken feed bags, and chic outfits from the fabric of sidewalk couches.
Emilia Fart has come a long way from her norm-core teenager days. Fart abandoned a “typical” image a long time ago in place with casual feather boas, deranged Judge Judy clothes (her own words), wild make-up, and in-your-face, unapologetic charisma.
Fart’s content consists of making makeup out of Fruit Loops and KoolAid and making normal people uncomfortable. She’s the face of the anti-norm, and while she may be scary at times, she serves some hot knowledge about the truths of normalcy:
“For years I worked really hard in my own way to be palatable, to be fuckable, to be wanted by dudes, which was the currency I thought you had to have as a woman to have value. Devoting a large part of my energy to trying to be palatable hid life within me what I didn’t know was there when I stopped trying to be digestable.”
Everyone who knows me is probably saying, “enough with the Sorelle videos already!” because I watch and talk about her a lot. Like, all the time.
But that’s just because she’s an inspirational goddess. Not only does she create stunning visual content, she offers a wide range of skill-sharing, such as travel, photography, minimalism, and overall living your life to its fullest and all that sweet crap.
If you want to learn how to travel the world cheaply or how to take your own Advanced Selfies, Sorelle is your gal.
Brandi TV is that kind of content you watch when you’re high but feeling frisky enough to scare yourself a little with a horror movie.
Brandi’s known for her videos in which she chews on some edibles and then attempts to turn herself into random characters with her make-up and costume skills.
Unlike some other Tubers mentioned here, Brandi doesn’t offer many life-lessons other than to get high because it’s fun. But sometimes, that’s the only lesson you’ll ever need.
If you’re into all those fashion haul and OOTD try-on videos but you’re sick of the lack of, well, character, turn on BestDressed. You won’t be bored to tears.
I am into fashion (wow, amazing, how unique) and I do watch this content a lot but I find that most of these people are like animated stick figures running out of battery. But Ashley of BestDressed is on five packs of Duracell and her fifth shot of espresso. She will energize you.
Her description literally says, “Fashion, thrifting, and other misadventures of a college student clinging to her glory days when she won the best dressed senior superlative. All served with a spicy side of dry humor.”
